The Sixth Form College Farnborough

Role: Architect from concept to completion
Construction value: 300k

With the addition of new buildings around the existing quad and an increase of student numbers from 1200 to 3000+, the significant increase in footfall had turned the grass to dust and left a scruffy heart to the College. The brief was to hard-core the quad whilst making it greener and creating direct paths between buildings. The blue planters add colour and reflect the blue cladding from the sports hall; they pivot from a central point and are positioned so that all possible routes between buildings are un-interrupted.
